Men's Tennis Falls to Webber International

BABSON PARK, Fla. (UWECBlugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team dropped its first dual meet since February 20 as it fell to Webber International (Fla.) 7-2 on the third day of its spring break trip today.
The Blugolds drop to 17-3 on the season while Webber improves to 15-5.
Eric Wollum (Jr.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) was the lone Blugold to pick up a singles victory. He recorded a 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 win in the No. 5 spot over Webber's Tyler Heath. Wollum has won nine matches in a row.
In doubles competition, Lars Olson (Jr.-De Pere, Wis.) and Kevin Fawcett (Sr.-Madison, Wis./Verona) scored an 8-1 victory in the No. 2 spot over Webber's Rafael Teixeira and Heath. The duo improves to 15-3 on the season and has won 15 out of its last 16 matches.
The Blugolds will compete again tomorrow when they face Warner College (Fla.).
