(UWECBlugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team maintained its No. 2 ranking in the latest Golf World/NGCA Division III Coaches' Poll. The Blugolds were ranked second for the first time ever last fall and were able to hold the spot with just over two weeks to go before they open their spring season. Eau Claire will compete in five tournaments this spring before heading to the NCAA Championship at Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. The Blugolds kick off spring competition April 2 in Wichita, Kan. and will hold one home tournament on May 1 and 2. 10-time NCAA Division III national champion Methodist University is the only team ranked higher than the Blugolds at No. 1 after earning all 14 first-place votes in the poll. |
