Suckow Leads Blugolds at UW-Stevens Point Eastbay Invitational

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - For the second week in a row, Hayley Suckow (Sr.-Elk Mound, Wis.) won the pole vault as the 12th-ranked UW-Eau Claire women's track and field team competed at UW-Stevens Point's Eastbay Invitational today.
Suckow finished with a height of 3.55 meters (11-7.75) to take the top spot. She was the only Blugold who took first in an event.
Peloquin finished the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.80, just over a half-second behind the winner from UW-Oshkosh.
In the 3,000-meter run, Ho finished with a time of 10:38.43, more than four seconds ahead of the rest of the field but 14 seconds behind the winner.
The 4x400-meter relay team finished with a time of 4:00.68, less than one second away from an NCAA Division III Championship provisional qualifying time.
In the 5,000-meter run, Ilse Renner (Fr.-Green Bay, Wis./East) took third with a time of 19:29.70.
The Blugolds will compete in the WIAC Championship next weekend. Multi events will start on Friday while the full championship will be contested on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
