Thu, May 15, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Wrestling Falls to Sixth-Ranked La Crosse By: Kevin Meinholz, Sports Information Director EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team won just one match tonight as it fell 51-3 against No. 6 UW-La Crosse at the McPhee Physical Education Center. Eau Claire drops to 1-17 in dual meets on the year and 0-4 in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) duals. La Crosse remained undefeated in the conference at 4-0 while holding a 14-3 overall dual meet record. Jon Ames (Sr.-Genoa, Wis./Viroqua) recorded the Blugolds' lone victory of the evening, defeating JR Lewis 5-1 at 157 pounds. Other than that, the Blugolds experienced some tough losses, falling with five pins, three technical falls and a forfeit. The Blugolds will be back in action Saturday when they host UW-Stevens Point.
