Tue, May 21, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Indoor Track and Field Participates in Warren Bowlus Open By: Kevin Meinholz, Sports Information Director MENOMONIE, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's indoor track and field team competed at UW-Stout's Warren Bowlus Open today. The Blugolds picked up two first and second place finishes while also coming away with four third place finishes. Hayley Suckow (Sr.-Elk Mound, Wis.) reached an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark in the pole vault as she won with a height of 3.65 meters (11-11.75). In the track events, Liz Amici (Jr.-Whitewater, Wis.) won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.13 Earning two second place finishes was Brittany Frederick (So.-Green Bay, Wis./Preble) in the shot put with a provisional qualifying distance of 12.97 meters (42-6.75) and in the weight throw with a provisional qualifying toss of 15.80 meters (51-10.00). No team scores were kept at the meet. Up next, Eau Claire will compete in two meets in Stevens Point. Friday the Blugolds will compete in the UW-Stevens Point Multi while they will be in the Eastbay Invite Saturday. |
