(UWECBlugolds.com) - For the third year in a row, UW-Eau Claire women's cross country head coach Dan Schwamberger has earned Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Coach of the Year honors, conference sports information director Matt Stanek announced today. Schwamberger guided the Blugolds to an NCAA Division III title this season, the first NCAA title in program history and the second national title overall as the team won the NAIA Championship in 1984. This year Eau Claire also won the NCAA Midwest Regional for the second year in a row while taking home top honors at the WIAC Championship for the third straight year. He was also selected as the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Midwest Region Women's Coach of the Year and USTFCCCA NCAA Division III National Women's Coach of the Year this season. Schwamberger also led the Blugold men to a 16th place finish at the NCAA Championship this season. |
