Sun, May 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Wrestling Falls to Luther College By: BJ Pickard, Sports Information Student EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team locked up with Luther College (Iowa), losing 38-3 Tuesday night at McPhee Physical Education Center. Andy Johnston (Sr.-St. Cloud, Minn./Tech) was the lone victor for the Blugolds, defeating Luther's Shaun O'Neill 4-0 in the 149 weight class. The team was close to several more victories. In the 125 weight class, JT Bernstein (Jr.-Highland Park, Ill.) lost a tough match 5-4. Levi Polus (So.-Winona, Minn.) fell 4-3 in the 165 division and at 184 Will Christ (So.-Shell Lake, Wis.) was defeated 11-9. The Blugolds will next host UW-Whitewater Wednesday, Dec. 2 at McPhee. Competition will get underway at 7 p.m. Luther College 38, UW-Eau Claire 3 125 - Louis Mazetta (LC) dec. over JT Bernstein (UWEC), 5-4 |
