Mon, May 20, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Volleyball Receives More Honors By: Kevin Meinholz, Sports Information Director EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - Two UW-Eau Claire volleyball players received recognition for their contributions both during the season and at last weekend's NCAA Regional Tournament at UW-Oshkosh. Kristen Moore (Sr.-Green Bay, Wis./Ashwaubenon) was honorably mentioned on the American Volleyball Coaches Association's All-Midwest Region team. Moore, who received All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference first team honors this season, led the Blugolds with a .310 hitting percentage. She finished the year with 239 kills and 83 blocks, both of which were third best on the team. Following the conclusion of the NCAA Regional Tournament in Oshkosh on Saturday, Emily Zupon (Jr.-Antigo, Wis.) was named to the All-Tournament Team. At the tournament, she led the Blugolds with a .308 hitting percentage and 27 kills. For the season she had a team-high 317 kills. |
