Wed, Jun 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Moore Leads Volleyball on All-WIAC Team By: Kevin Meinholz, Sports Information Director MADISON, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - Kristen Moore (Sr.-Green Bay, Wis./Ashwaubenon) has been selected as a first team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball honoree, conference sports information director Matt Stanek announced today. Moore, who earned WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team honors last year, leads the Blugolds in hitting percentage this season. Her mark of .311 is also fourth best in the conference. For the season she has compiled 223 kills, the third most on the team while she is also third with 75 total blocks. The Blugolds also had three others earn honorable mention status: Danielle Lucia (Jr.-St. Cloud, Minn./Apollo), Rachel Ver Voort (Jr.-Madison, Wis./Middleton) and Emily Zupon (Jr.-Antigo, Wis.). Lucia is second on the team with 232 kills and 94 blocks, Ver Voort leads Eau Claire with 29 service aces and Zupon leads the Blugolds with 290 kills. Selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team was Cassie Hunt (Sr.-Chippewa Falls, Wis./McDonell). The All-Sportsmanship Team is chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. |
