Tue, May 21, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Swimmers & Divers Compete In Appleton Posted: Friday, December 3, 2004 APPLETON - The UW-Eau Claire swimming and diving team claimed six first-place finishes in 10 events as the Blugolds competed in day one of the 2004 Titan Invite, which had been moved to the Boldt Natatorium at Lawrence University because of facility problems in Oshkosh. Cori Severson (Jr.-Brainerd, MN) earned three first-place finishes on the day, including a win in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.18. She was also a member of the winning 400-yard medley relay team that won in 4:15.32 and the 200-yard freestyle relay team that earned a victory with a time of 1:41.91. Ane Klomps (Fr.-Rochester, MN/Mayo) was also a member of both winning relay teams. Annie Gorman (Jr.-Menomonie) grabbed the final first-place finish of the day for the women, winning the 500-yard freestyle event with a time of 5:27.35. On the men's side, Mike Carroll (Sr.-Green Lake) won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:07.91 while Matt Schuebel (Sr.-Racine/Horlick) earned a victory in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.63 seconds.
