(UWECBlugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire women's soccer player Alyssa Walker (So.-Madison, Wis./West) has been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 5 College Division second team. Walker holds a 4.00 cumulative GPA and majors in biology while minoring in Spanish and chemistry. She has been selected to UW-Eau Claire's Dean's List in each of her first two semesters while also earning academic distinction honors. A defender for the Blugolds, Walker has started 15 games this season and all but two last season when she earned team Freshman Player of the Year honors. She is part of a defense that has allowed just 27 goals and 155 shots this season in 18 games. The Blugolds have accumulated 46 goals and 322 shots on the year so far. |
