Day One of the WIAC Tennis Championship In the Books

MADISON, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team competed in day one of the 2009 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship today at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
Megan Born (So.-Antigo, Wis.) and Taylor Heltne (Fr.-Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley) made it the farthest at the championship, winning round one and two of the No. 3 doubles competition. The duo will compete in the championship match tomorrow against Whitewater's Amy Siemon and Kelly Rutkowski.
The final day of competition will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday.
