Women's Cross Country Wins Neubauer Invite

WEST SALEM, Wis. (UWECBlugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team took first place out of 27 teams at the UW-La Crosse Tori Neubauer Invite today at the Maple Grove Country Club.
UW-Eau Claire won the meet with 51 points, while Nebraska Wesleyan came in second with 108. Third place was UW-La Crosse with 130 points and North Dakota State finished fourth with 140.
The Blugolds had four runners in the top 10 out of 448 runners.
Beth Easker (Jr.-Wittenberg, Wis./Wittenberg-Birnamwood) led the Blugolds with a sixth place individually and a time of 22:09. Next for the Blugold women was Margaret Ho (Jr.-Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln) with a time of 22:12.1 in eighth place while Hannah Humbach (Sr.-Madison, Wis./Abundant Life) placed ninth with a time of 22:12.8. Alyssa Sybilrud (So.-Savage, Minn./Burnsville) placed 10th individually for the Blugolds with a time of 22:13.1.
The Eau Claire women will run again next Friday when they host the Lake Wissota Meet in Lake Wissota. Events are set to start at 4 p.m.
