The Blugolds finished with 316 strokes on the par-73 course. UW-Whitewater is in second with 335 and UW-Stout is in third with 344. Two-time defending conference champion UW-Stevens Point finished with 358 strokes and is in fourth. Eau Claire's Catherine Wagner (Fr.-Austin, Minn.) led the group of 45 golfers with 75 strokes. Last year's individual medalist, Katie Maurer (So.-Forest Lake, Minn./Convent of the Visitation), is in second with 77 strokes. Emily Swift (So.-Onalaska, Wis.) is currently in sixth overall with 81. Tied for eighth place are Torie Ives (Sr.-Osseo, Wis./Osseo-Fairchild) and Jamie Hauser (So.-Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead). Both finished the round with 83 strokes. Golfers will resume competition tomorrow at 9 a.m. with another 18 holes. The tournament will conclude Sunday. |
