(UWECBlugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire football tailback Cory Sartorelli (Sr.-Appleton, Wis./North) has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week for week three, D3football.com officials announced. With the Blugolds defeating Hope College (Mich.) 52-45 in double overtime on Sept. 19, Sartorelli scored six of the Blugolds' seven touchdowns. All six of Sartorelli's touchdowns came on the ground. After opening the day's scoring with a three-yard touchdown run, Sartorelli added another later in the first quarter from 65 yards out, tying for the 19th longest rush in Blugold history. He scored two more touchdowns in the second, one in the third and one in the fourth. The six touchdowns tied for most in a single game, while the 36 points is the second most points scored by an individual in a game in Blugold football history. Sartorelli rushed 33 times and gained 180 yards, an average of 5.5 yards per carry. |
