Wed, Jun 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Golf Places Third at Augsburg College's Fall Invite By: BJ Pickard, Sports Information Student HAM LAKE, Minn. (UWECBlugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's golf team placed third out of 14 teams at Augsburg College's Fall Invitational at the Majestic Oaks Golf Club this weekend. UW-Stout won the tournament with 598 strokes over 36 holes. Luther College (Iowa) took second with 601 strokes. UW-Eau Claire finished with 602 strokes overall. James Stafford of the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) won individual honors with 144 strokes, shooting par for the tournament. Leading the Blugolds overall was Tim McCormick (Fr.-Madison, Wis./Memorial), who finished tied for third overall with 147 strokes. Jimmy Hutchings (So.-Hudson, Wis.) tied for 11th place with 149 and Ben Ziemann (Sr.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) tied for 17th with 153. Jamie Krula (So.-Chippewa Falls, Wis./Chi-Hi) finished with 155 strokes, tying for 29th overall, while Jake Brookshaw (So.-River Falls, Wis.) totaled 158 strokes and tied for 37th. The Blugolds head to Collegeville, Minn. next Saturday for the St. John's Fall Invitational. |
