Wed, May 22, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Basketball Second In Division III Attendance Posted: Thursday, June 4, 2009 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team recorded the second highest home attendance average in NCAA Division III for the 2008-09 season, the NCAA recently reported. The Blugolds averaged 1,055 spectators per game in 12 home games for a total of 12,665. Hope College (Mich.) led the nation with 1,269 spectators per game while Calvin College (Mich.) was third with 1,053. A season ago the Blugolds averaged 809 per game, seventh best in Division III. In addition, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) led the Division III membership with an average of 501 fans attending 108 games for a total of 54,071. The American Southwest Conference was second with 454 spectators per game. - KM - |
