Women's Track And Field Claims Power Rankings Award Posted: Friday, May 29, 2009 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire women's outdoor track and field team has won the 2009 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Team Power Rankings. This season the Blugolds scored 201.43 points in the power rankings to take home the title, the first in school history. UW-La Crosse took second with 201.29 while Wartburg College (Iowa), which won the NCAA Division III title, finished third with 201.21. On the men's side, the Blugolds finished 10th with 203.75 points while UW-Oshkosh won the award with 218.47. A team's total point score is the sum of all points earned by that team in each event. Teams are allowed to select up to two athletes per event, and an athlete can only be used in a maximum of three events (not including relays). Only one relay team per event can be selected. The points are based on the best marks in an event in the current season. More information on how points are calculated. - Km - |
