Wed, Jun 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Track And Field Competes In Augustana Twilight Posted: Friday, May 15, 2009 ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Three members of the UW-Eau Claire women's track and field team competed at the Augustana College Twilight tonight, the Blugolds' final meet before the 2009 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship. Hayley Suckow (Jr.-Elk Mound, Wis.) led the Blugolds as she took first in the pole vault with a height of 3.72 meters (12-2.5). Chelsea Becker (Sr.-Rice Lake, Wis.) came in second with a vault of 3.57 meters (11-8.5). Both were provisional qualifying heights for the national meet. Earlier this season Suckow reached an automatic qualifying mark of 3.83 meters (12-6.75). Alicia Schuelke (Sr.-Gilman, Wis.) finished second in the high jump with a leap of 1.57 meters (5-1.75). The three-day national championship begins Thursday (May 21) and will be held at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. - KM - |
