Men's Track And Field Competes At Augustana Twilight Posted: Friday, May 15, 2009 ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - In their final meet before this year's NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship, a few Blugolds competed in the Augustana College Twilight tonight. The 4x100-meter relay team had the Blugolds' best finish of the night as it took third with a time of 41.99, just shy of a NCAA Division III meet provisional qualifying time. In the shot put, Joe Lilek (Fr.-Tomahawk, Wis.) finished seventh with a distance of 14.43 meters (47-4.25). Justin Janke (Jr.-Black River Falls, Wis.) also had a seventh place finish in the 100-meter dash. The three-day national championship begins Thursday (May 21) and will be held at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. The NCAA will announce the qualifiers for the meet Sunday (May 17). - KM - |
