Wed, May 22, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Golf Stays In Fifth At NCAA Championship Posted: Friday, May 15, 2009 Methodist University matched its tournament-best 310 today and now has 941 strokes overall, 19 strokes ahead of the other 20 teams in this year's field. UW-Stevens Point is in second place with 960 while Gustavus Adolphus College is in third with 972. Southwestern University is currently in fourth with 975 strokes and after finishing round three with 329, the Blugolds now have 981 strokes. Susan Martin of Methodist finished with 73 strokes on the par-72 course today and now has 217 total, leading the 111-golfer field by seven strokes. UW-Stevens Point's Jessica Urban is in second with 224. Torie Ives (Jr.-Osseo, Wis./Osseo-Fairchild) led the Blugolds today with 80 strokes and is currently tied for eighth place with 235 strokes. Emily Swift (Fr.-Onalaska, Wis.) saw a three-stroke improvement from yesterday and is now tied for 26th with 245 strokes as she finished with 83 today. With 84 strokes on the day and 247 overall, Katie Maurer (Forest Lake, Minn./Convent of the Visitation) is tied for 36th while Lauren Gault (Fr.-Shorewood, Wis.) shot 82 today and is tied for 62nd with 254 strokes. Katie Swift (So.-Onalaska, Wis.) currently has 264 strokes and is tied for 86th overall. Tomorrow teams will tee off for the final day of the championship. The Blugolds will begin teeing off at 11 a.m. |
