Fri, May 24, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Doucette Leads Softball On NFCA All-Region Team Posted: Friday, May 15, 2009 STARKVILLE, Miss. - Kristi Doucette (Sr.-Green Bay, Wis./Ashwaubenon) led the UW-Eau Claire softball team as a 2009 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Region Great Lakes first team selection, NFCA officials recently announced. Doucette, who was a first team designated player selection, finished the season with a .337 batting average with 30 hits in 89 at-bats. She scored seven runs and hit four doubles and a home run while picking up 15 RBIs. The Blugolds were well represented on the second team with three of the 15 total picks. Second baseman Aleisha Harper (Fr.-Mondovi, Wis./Eau Claire North), catcher Bekki Kidnie (Jr.-St. Paul, Minn./Johnson) and shortstop Katie Stalker (Jr.-Madison, Wis./La Follette) were this year's second team selections for the Blugolds. Harper was second on the team this season with 55 hits in 133 at-bats, accumulating a .414 batting average. She finished second the team with 37 runs and 27 RBIs. Kidnie hit .354 this year with 40 hits in 113 at-bats. She led the Blugolds with 33 RBIs and scored 12 runs of her own. Stalker led the Blugolds with a .427 batting average with a team-high 61 hits in 143 at-bats. She also picked up the most runs this season with 48 runs and stole 21 bases in 23 attempts to lead the team. - KM - |
