Fri, May 24, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Holforty Takes Third In Debut Posted: Saturday, November 20, 2004 MOORHEAD, Minn. - Josh Holforty (Fr. -Bloomington, MN) went 4-1 with three pins in taking third place at 197 pounds in his debut as a Blugold here today at the Cobber Open. Holforty lost his opening match but came back with pins in his next three matches including a pin in 1:19 against Larry Johnston of the University of Great Falls. Holforty defeated teammate Larry Moen (Sr.-Madison/East) 4-2 to finish third. Dave Vanevenhoven (Jr.-Kaukauna) and Drew Bingner (Fr.-Fort Atkinson) had fourth place finishes along with Moen. Vanevenhoven lost his opening round match but bounced back with wins in his next three matches including 17-5 and 15-5 major decisions. Vanevenhoven lost in his final match 8-2. Bingner received a bye in the opening round and advanced with a 3-2 decision in his first bout. Bingner lost his next match but then took a 4-2 decision to go to the third place match. Binger lost 4-0 to finish fourth. Tony D?Antuouno (Jr.-Waukesha/South) took fifth at 141 pounds while Lance Valiquette (Fr.-Eau Claire/Auburn) and Mike Stremer (Fr.-Oshkosh/West) took fifth at 174 and 184 pounds, respectively.
