Tue, Jun 18, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Golf Takes Third At Carleton Invite Posted: Saturday, April 11, 2009 NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team finished third out eight teams at the two-day Carleton College Invitational at Northfield Golf Club today. UW-Stevens Point took the top spot with 648 strokes while Gustavus Adolphus College took second with 654. The Blugolds ended with 668 strokes in their third place finish while St. Thomas was fourth with 702. Macalester College's Jordan Matheson won medalist honors with 156 strokes. Emily Swift (Fr.-Onalaska, Wis.) was the Blugolds' highest finisher as she took third overall with 159 strokes. Katie Maurer (Fr,-Forest Lake, Minn./Convent of the Visitation) and Torie Ives (Jr.-Osseo, Wis./Osseo-Fairchild) both tied for 12th place with 168 while Lauren Gault (Fr.-Shorewood, Wis.) totaled 173 strokes and tied for 20th. Freshman Sara Mattes (La Crosse, Wis./Central) led the Blugold individuals as she tied for 18th with 172 strokes. The Blugolds will be back in action next Saturday and Sunday when they travel to Becker, Minn. for the St. Thomas Invitational. - KM - |
