Sat, May 25, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Johnson Headed To Track & Field Nationals Posted: Monday, March 9, 2009 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - UW-Eau Claire men's field member Sam Johnson (Sr. -Deer Park, Wis./Amery) has been selected to compete at the 25th annual NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships to be held at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind. this Friday and Saturday, NCAA officials announced today. Johnson will compete in the weight throw. He currently leads the nation with a distance of 19.48 meters (63-11) which he achieved at the WIAC Championships on March 1, earning him the conference title in the event. His toss leads the rest of the field of competitors by more than two feet. Last year at the indoor national championship, Johnson earned All-American honors in the weight throw with a sixth place finish and a distance of 59-4 ?. The weight throw is set to get underway at 1:30 p.m. Friday. - KM - |
