Wed, May 22, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Hockey To Host Augsburg, Concordia Posted: Wednesday, November 17, 2004 EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire men's hockey team will host non-conference opponents Augsburg and Concordia this weekend at Hobbs Ice Center. Eau Claire comes in with a 3-3 record and riding a two-game winning streak. The Blugolds defeated Gustavus Adolphus 5-2 and St. Olaf 3-2 on the road last weekend. Rob Ouimette (Sr.-Iron Bridge, ONT/Leamington District) has led the Blugold attack early this season with a team-high nine points. Ouimette has assisted on five goals and scored four of his own. Dave Coleman (So.-Whitby, ONT/Leo J. Austin) has also had a strong start with six points including four goals. The Blugolds will open the weekend against Augsburg. Eau Claire defeated the Auggies 4-3 in their last meeting with Pete Eloranta (Sr.-River Falls) scoring both goals. Augsburg comes into this meeting with a 1-3 record. Aaron Johnson leads the Auggies with four points on the season followed by four players with three points each. Goalie Tony Ciro has struggled in goal allowing an average of 4.41 goals per game. Eau Claire will face off against Concordia Saturday. The Blugolds own a 3-1-1 lifetime record against the Cobbers including a 4-2 win last year with Ouimette scoring two goals. Concordia comes into the weekend with a 0-4 record. The Cobbers are led by the play of Matt Hansen who leads the team with four goals and five points. Nate Ronning has added four points including three assists. Concordia has distributed goalie minutes evenly this season with none fairing well as the team is allowing nearly six goals per game. Both games are scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m.
