Men's Tennis Fall To No. 9 Gustavus Adolphus

OWATONNA, Minn. - After picking up its fifth shutout of the season last night, the UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to ninth-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College today.
The loss drops the Blugolds to a 10-5 overall record this season.
In the singles competitions, the Gusties hustled the court, winning all six matches against the Blugolds. In the doubles competitions, the Blugolds' Lars Olson (So.-De Pere, Wis.) and Chris Kuna (Fr.-Edina, Minn.) took the No. 2 match against Gustavus' Charlie Paukert and Ben Tomasek 8-5. The win for Olson and Kuna in the number two spot is their fourth win in a row as doubles partners.
The Blugolds will pick up their rackets again in Hilton Head, South Carolina for spring break competitions. The eight competitions are set to begin at 8 a.m. on March 16 and will go through Mach 20.
