Men's Track & Field Competes In Platteville

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The No. 20 UW-Eau Claire men's track and field team had competed today in 17 events at UW-Platteville's Nike Impact Sports Track and Field Meet.
Sam Johnson (Sr.-Deer Park, Wis./Amery) led the Blugolds with a first place in the weight throw with a distance of 18.57 meters, beating out the second place distance of 17.23 meters.
Justin White (Jr.-Arcadia, Wis.) finished in second place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.68, missing the first place finisher who had a time of 50.43.
Tim Lauer (Jr.-Whitewater, Wis.) took fourth place in the shot put competition with a distance of 14.39 meters while Nick Desotelle (Sr.-Weston, Wis./Schofield D. C. Everest) took fourth in the pole vault with a height of 4.45 meters and Adam Flyte (Jr.-Fort Atkinson, Wis.) finished in fourth place in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.70.
The Blugolds will be competing again next week at UW-Stevens Point. Events are set to start at 10:30 a.m.Results
