Sat, May 25, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Ross Earns Preseason All-American Honors Posted: Saturday, February 14, 2009 UW-Eau Claire softball pitcher Jenny Ross (So. -Mendota Heights, Minn./Henry Sibley) has been selected as a preseason All-American according to DIII Softball - The Newsletter. Ross was named a first team at-large selection. Only 13 other players from around the nation were named to the first team. A season ago Ross led the Blugolds to a national title, the first in program history. She pitched in 38 of the Blugolds' 47 games, starting 28 of them. Ross ended the season with a 27-2 record, pitching 17 complete games and six shutouts. The 27 wins is a school record for most in a season. DIII Softball - The Newsletter, in its inaugural season, also ranked the Blugolds fourth in its top 25 poll. Eau Claire begins its season in one month with its first game scheduled for March 14 in Tucson, Arizona. DIII Softball - The Newsletter - KM - |
