Fri, May 24, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Wrestlers Earn Four Wins, Fall To Pointers Posted: Saturday, February 14, 2009 STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team won four matches but fell short by a score of 26-15 at 10th-ranked UW-Stevens Point today. The Blugolds are now 6-12 overall in dual meets and wrapped up the regular season with a 1-5 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference record. Stevens Point improves to 16-3-1 on the season and 4-1-1 in the conference, finishing in third place. Josh Holforty (Sr.-Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy), who is ranked eighth in the nation at 197 pounds, had the Blugolds' biggest win of the day, defeating his opponent by four points. He defeated Stevens Point's Brandon Jochem 8-4. Andy Johnston (Jr.-St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) and Joe Pitsch (Fr.-Oshkosh, Wis./North) each picked up two-point victories at 149 and 285 pounds, respectively. Johnston defeated Kris Magruder 3-1 while Pitsch won 6-4 over Brett Oswald. Andy Miller (Sr.-Appleton, Wis./North) also won by forfeit at 133 pounds for Eau Claire.
