Fri, May 24, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Track & Field Teams Ranked Nationally Posted: Wednesday, February 4, 2009 NEW ORLEANS, La. - The UW-Eau Claire men's and women's track and field teams have received rankings in this season's first U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll, officials announced today. The Blugold men are ranked ninth in the top 25 poll. Whitewater is the only Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference institution ranked higher at No. 4. Stevens Point also appeared in the poll at No. 14 while Platteville is 23rd. Augustana College (Ill.) claimed the top spot. On the women's side, Eau Claire is 14th. Oshkosh and Whitewater are both ranked above Eau Claire with Oshkosh being fourth and Whitewater 10th. Platteville is ranked 25th in the poll. Tufts University is ranked first in the poll. Both Blugold teams will be in action this Saturday when they compete in UW-Stevens Point's Eastbay Invite. - KM - |
