Thu, May 23, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Witt Receives D3hoops.com Team Of The Week Honors Posted: Tuesday, February 3, 2009 MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - UW-Eau Claire women's basketball player Heather Witt (Sr. -Kendall, Wis./Royall) has been named to this week's D3hoops.com Team of the Week. Witt led all scorers in a 21-point win against then-No. 2 UW-Whitewater with a career-high 28 points and a game-high four steals on Saturday. She finished the game shooting 11-for-21 from the floor and hit all her free throws (4-for-4). On Wednesday in the Blugolds' 70-43 win over Superior, Witt scored eight points and recorded game-highs with seven assists and five steals. She finished the week averaging 18.0 points, 5.0 assists and 4.5 steals. This is the second time this season the Blugolds have been represented on D3hoops.com's Team of the Week. Heidi Arciszewski (Sr.-Thorp, Wis.) received the honor on December 10. The Team of the Week is in its 12th season and recognizes the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week. It is selected by D3hoops.com staff from nominations by sports information directors and coaches. - KM - |
