Sat, May 18, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Witt Selected WIAC Athlete Of The Week Posted: Tuesday, February 3, 2009 MADISON, Wis. - UW-Eau Claire women's basketball player Heather Witt (Sr. -Kendall, Wis./Royall) has earned Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference athlete of the week honors, conference spokesman Matt Stanek announced today. Witt helped the Blugolds to a 71-50 victory over No. 2-ranked UW-Whitewater and a 70-43 triumph over UW-Superior. Against the Warhawks, she poured in a career-high 28 points and recorded a game-best four steals to go along with four rebounds (all defensive) and three assists. Witt was 11-for-21 from the field and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. In 26 minutes of playing time against the Yellowjackets, she contributed eight points and recorded game-highs with seven assists and five steals. - KM - |
