Please include a source of proof (newspaper, yearbook, etc.) to support your claim. ![]() Mon, Feb 17, 2025 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Hockey To Play Its Last Regular Season Home Game this Friday Posted: Thursday, January 29, 2009 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The 14th-ranked UW-Eau Claire men's hockey team will play its final regular season home game this Friday against neighboring Northern Collegiate Hockey Association opponent UW-Stout at 7 p.m. Eau Claire will then travel to River Falls to play against UW-River Falls on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Blugolds head into the weekend with a 13-6-1 overall record. Eau Claire recently jumped to No. 14 in the USCHO Division III Men's Rankings after defeating Lake Forest College last Saturday 7-1. With its win over the Foresters, the Blugolds moved to 3-5-1 in the NCHA. Seventh-ranked UW-Stout comes into the weekend 13-5-2 after tying its last two games against top ranked St. Scholastica and UW-Superior. UW-River Falls enters the weekend 8-11-1 overall after losing its last two games to UW-Superior and St. Scholastica. This weekend's games will be the second of the season against both teams as the Blugolds faced the teams at the end of November. The Blugolds came away with a 6-1 victory against UW-River Falls on November 21 but fell short at UW-Stout 2-0 the next day. Against UW-Stout, the Blugolds are 24-26-2 all-time and have not won since 2003. The Blugolds tied the Blue Devils 2-2 at home in 2004. The Blugolds have a 28-78-3 all-time record against UW-River Falls. Eau Claire has won its previous two contests against the Falcons. - MT - |
