Tue, May 21, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Wrestling Falls Short At La Crosse Posted: Tuesday, January 27, 2009 LA CROSSE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team came away with two victories as they fell to 11th-ranked UW-La Crosse 35-7 tonight at Mitchell Hall. Eau Claire drops to 5-10 in dual meets and 1-3 in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual meets. The Eagles improve to 18-6 and 5-1, respectively. While the Blugolds had to forfeit the 125 pound match, Andy Miller (Sr.-Appleton, Wis./North) picked up a win at 133 pounds to cut La Crosse's lead to only two (6-4). He earned a major decision victory over Pat Parrillo with a score of 11-2. At 165 pounds, Seth Hendricks (Jr.-Beloit, Wis./Turner) also came up with a win for Eau Claire with a 6-5 decision over Jeff Erkel. The Blugolds will be back on the mat next Wednesday for another WIAC dual meet at UW-Oshkosh. Action is set to begin at 7 p.m. - KM - |
