Sat, May 25, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Track & Field Wins Blugold Indoor Open Posted: Friday, January 16, 2009 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire men's track and field team kicked off the indoor season in grand fashion, taking first place in the Blugold Indoor Open this evening with a score of 233 points. Winona State (Minn.) finished second with 214.5 points, and St. Norbert College took third with 49.5 points. Out of 16 events, the Blugolds finished in first place in eight events. Frankie Adams (Sr.-Burnsville, Minn.) won the 55 meter dash in 6.53 seconds, while the 800 meter run was won by Adam Flyte (Jr.-Fort Atkinson, Wis.) Sam Johnson (Sr.-Deer Park, Wis./Avery) won both the weight throw and shot put. Johnson dominated the weight throw with a 18.04 meter toss, and edged out teammate Tim Lauer (Jr.-Whitewater, Wis.) to take the shot put with a distance of 14.95 meters. Along with the women's team, the Blugold men will return to action on January 24 for the UW-Stevens Point Triangular. The event is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. - CL - |

in 1:57.91. The Blugold men took first in both the 4x200 and 4x400 meter relay. The 4x200 was finished in 1:33.48 and the 4x400 had a winning time of 3:26.68. With a jump of 1.92 meters, Andrew Storsveen (So.-Winona, Minn.) won the high jump. Logan Koerten (So.-Plover, Wis./SPASH) won the triple jump event with a final distance of 13 meters.
