Sat, May 18, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Pieper Named NCHA Player Of The Week Posted: Tuesday, January 13, 2009 MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - UW-Eau Claire women's hockey goalie Morgan Pieper (Fr. -Williams, Minn./Warroad) has received Northern Collegiate Hockey Association player of the week honors, conference sports information director Brian Monahan announced today. Pieper had a big game Friday as the Blugolds defeated 10th-ranked UW-Superior 2-1, handing the Yellowjackets their first conference loss of the season. She recorded 38 saves, including a barrage of 18 in the third period, while allowing one goal. In the final seconds of the game Pieper made a glove save on a puck tracking toward the upper corner, thus preventing overtime and preserving the win. - KM - |
