Thu, May 23, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Wrestling Defeats Concordia By One Posted: Saturday, January 10, 2009 WESTFIELD, Wis. - With five Blugolds picking up points, the UW-Eau Claire wrestling team edged Concordia (Wis.) 22-21 on Saturday at Westfield High School. Eau Claire improves to 4-8 in dual meets while Concordia drops to 2-7. Keith Dawson (Fr.-Neillsville, Wis.) recorded a pin at 174 pounds, defeating Concordia's James Gavin and earning six points for the team. Josh Holforty (Sr.-Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy) also picked up six points at 197 pounds with Concordia forfeiting the weight class. Andy Miller (Sr.-Appleton, Wis./North) scored a major decision with an 11-0 win over Kurt Kemnitz at 133 pounds. Both Andy Johnston (Jr.-St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) and Robbie Zube (Sr.-Viroqua, Wis.) gave the Blugolds three points with 12-7 and 7-0 decisions, respectively.
