Thu, May 23, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Probst Earns D3hoops.com Honor Posted: Tuesday, January 6, 2009 MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - UW-Eau Claire men's basketball player Geoff Probst (Jr. -Moose Lake, Minn.) has been named to this week's D3hoops.com Team of the Week, Pat Coleman announced today. Probst helped the Blugolds to three victories last week to improve their season record to 8-3. On Monday and Tuesday the Blugolds hosted the 40th annual UW-Eau Claire Holiday Classic and captured the title with a 92-70 victory over Wartburg College on Tuesday. To get to the championship game, Eau Claire beat Northwestern College 78-52 Monday. The Blugolds also picked up a nonconference 76-66 victory over St. Scholastica on Saturday. Probst led the Blugolds over the three-game stretch, averaging 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. On Tuesday and Saturday he recorded double-doubles, picking up a career-high 32 points and 12 rebounds on Saturday. Probst went 17-for-19 from the free throw line for the week, including an 11-for-12 performance on Saturday. The Team of the Week is in its 12th season and recognizes the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week.
