Sun, May 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Men's Basketball Set To Face St. Scholastica Posted: Wednesday, December 31, 2008 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire men's basketball team is ready to host the College of St. Scholastica on Saturday in a non-conference matchup set for 7 p.m. at Zorn Arena. Eau Claire enters the contest on a three-game winning streak and holds a 7-3 overall record. The Blugolds have won six of their last seven games with their only loss in that stretch coming against No. 1 UW-Platteville. St Scholastica enters the weekend with a 4-6 overall record and is on a three-game losing streak. Prior to that the Saints won three in a row but came up short in the previous three contests. Eau Claire has never lost to the Saints, holding a 10-0 all-time record in the series. This season Dan Beyer (Sr.-Waukesha, Wis./Catholic Memorial) leads the Blugolds with 14.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Ryan Shea (So.-Duluth, Minn./East) and Colin Boone (Jr.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) are also averaging double-figures with 11.3 and 10.4 points, respectively. For the Saints, Chris Hamers and Troy Miller are both averaging 11 points per game. Miller has started all 10 games while Hamers has only played in eight, starting four. Miller also leads the team with 6.5 rebounds per game and 10 blocks. - KM - |
