With Eau Claire ranked 10th in the USCHO Division III Men's Rankings, the 7-2 men are currently in a four-way tie for third place in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association with UW-Stevens Point, St. Scholastica and UW-Stout, who shut out the Blugolds 2-0 two weeks ago. The UW-Superior Yellowjackets have started their year well, sitting atop the NCHA with a 4-0 conference record and being ranked second in the USCHO poll with a 10-1-1 record. In the all-time series against the Yellowjackets, the Blugolds have a 33-67-4 record with their most recent loss to Superior coming back in February of this year. The 15th-ranked St. Scholastica Saints, who are currently tied with the Blugolds in the NCHA, have a 2-2 conference record and a 7-3-1 overall record, with a non-conference loss coming from the Blugolds earlier this season. In the all-time series against the Saints, the Blugolds are looking to improve the 39-17-6 record, having not lost the last four contests against St. Scholastica. The Blugolds are set to play St. Scholastica Friday night at 7 p.m. with the matchup against UW-Superior taking place Saturday night at 7 p.m. Both games will take place at Hobbs Ice Center. - MT - |
