EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire women's hockey team completed its weekend home stand with a 3-1 victory over St. Mary's University (Minn.) tonight at Hobbs Ice Center.
Last night the Blugolds also won their season opener over Bethel University by a score of 3-1. Eau Claire is now 2-0 on the season while St. Mary's drops to 0-1.

Toni Simones (Fr.-Rosemount, Minn./South St. Paul) and Kristin Faber (So.-Austin, Minn.) assisted on the goal, which was Dittrich's second of the season and her second game-winner of the year as well.
Faber then found the net for Eau Claire less than two minutes later, picking up an even strength goal at 18:56. Simones and Dittrich were credited with the assist.
St. Mary's outshot Eau Claire 26-22 on the game and had six power-play opportunities to Eau Claire's three.
