Sun, May 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Soccer Earns Three Academic All-District Selections Posted: Friday, October 31, 2008 DELAWARE, Ohio - Three members of the UW-Eau Claire soccer team have been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 5 College Division team. Jessica Millard (Sr.-Madison, Wis./La Follette) was the Blugolds' only first team selection and is now eligible for selection to the Academic All-America Team that will be announced Nov. 18. She currently holds a 3.81 cumulative grade point average and is majoring in finance. Millard is tied for sixth on the team with four goals and 10 points this year. She was also a third team pick in 2006. Liz Kooistra (Sr.-Lakeville, Minn.) and Allie Rivard (Sr.-Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) were named to the second team this year. Kooistra is majoring in psychology and has a 3.50 grade point average. This season she is tied for second on the team with 29 points and has scored 10 goals. A year ago, she was a third team selection. Rivard, who was also a second team choice in 2005, maintains a 3.60 grade point average while majoring in biology. This year she has started every game in-goal and has a goals-against-average of 0.54 and a save percentage of .815. She has picked up seven shutouts this year so far and has a total of 14 in her career. - KM - |
