Fri, May 24, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Soccer Looks To Stay Undefeated Posted: Friday, October 3, 2008 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - This Saturday the UW-Eau Claire soccer team will play at home against UW-Whitewater and then head to Minnesota to take on Carleton College Sunday. The Blugolds recently moved up to No. 3 in the latest NSCAA/Adidas national poll. Both UW-Whitewater and Carleton College are not ranked nationally. UW-Whitewater comes to Eau Claire with a 2-2-0 record in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and a 5-5-0 record overall. Their losses came from UW-Stevens Point with a score of 3-0 and UW-Platteville 1-0. The Blugolds are 16-2-1 all-time against the Warhawks, winning in their last three games. The Blugolds will look to defeat the Carleton College Knights on the road. The Knights are currently 6-4-0 coming off of a two game winning-streak against Gustavus Adolphus College and St. Mary's University. The Blugolds are 13-3-1 all-time against the Knights and have not lost against them since 1995. The Blugolds head into this weekend with a perfect 3-0-0 record in WIAC play while having a 10-0-2 record overall. On the season, the Eau Claire is out-shooting opponents 269-84 and out-scoring opponents 50-9. The Blugolds are currently 3-0-0 at home and have only allowed one goal in the last four games while scoring 20 of their own. Saturday's game will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Bollinger Fields, while Sunday's game is slated to start at 2:00 p.m. at Northfield, Minn. - MT - |
