Tue, May 21, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Soccer Cruises To Victory Over Loras Posted: Sunday, September 28, 2008 DUBUQUE, Iowa - The UW-Eau Claire soccer team remained unbeaten for the season with a 3-0 victory over Loras College (Iowa) today. The fourth-ranked Blugolds improve to 9-0-2 on the season, while the Duhawks drop to 6-3. The Blugolds are now 4-1 against Loras all-time. Eau Claire got on the board at 24:32 when Loras put one in its own goal. Jessica Millard (Sr.-Madison, Wis./La Follette) was the first Blugold to find the net at 66:18 to make the score 2-0. Gina Christenbury (So.-Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Kenosha Tremper) assisted on the goal. Jamie Schiesel (So.-Plymouth, Minn./Armstrong) then scored her fourth goal of the season five minutes later to put the Blugolds up by three. The Blugolds outshot the Duhawks 19-5 today. Loras put only two on-goal, both of which goalkeeper Allie Rivard (Sr.-Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) kept out of the net. Rivard played the entire game and recorded her fourth shutout of the season. The Blugolds will have a couple days off before they head to St. Paul, Minn. for a game against Macalester College. The game is set for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. - KM - |
