KANSAS CITY, Kan. - With a win and a tie last weekend against two nationally ranked teams, the UW-Eau Claire soccer team moved up to No. 4 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Top 25 poll.
Last Friday, the Blugolds defeated the University of Chicago, which was ranked 12th in the poll at the time, 1-0 in Chicago. On Saturday Eau Claire went to 11th-ranked and two-time defending national champion Wheaton College and came out with a 2-2 tie, ending the Thunders' 30-game home winning streak. The Blugolds are now 6-0-2 on the season.
Today the Blugolds are set to take on UW-Superior at 4 p.m. in Superior. It will be Eau Claire's second WIAC contest of the season. The Blugolds are 16-0 against the Yellowjackets all-time.
