Women's Tennis Loses To Division I Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team was only able to capture two points against NCAA Division I opponent UW-Green Bay, falling 5-2 here today.
Gina Dahl (Jr.-Fort Atkinson, Wis.) and Brenna McCormick (Jr.-Greendale, Wis.) were the only Blugolds to pick up points against the Phoenix, with both winning in straight sets. Dahl defeated Green Bay's Aschley Jurgella 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, while McCormick picked up win at No. 3 singles over Kelly Stadum with scores of 6-2, 6-4.
The Blugolds drop to 1-3 in dual meets this season. A year ago, Eau Claire was only picked up one point against the Phoenix, as the Blugolds lost 6-1.
Tomorrow the Blugolds will be back on the tennis courts with a meet at 9 a.m. against St. Norbert, followed by one at 3 p.m. against Lawrence.
