Thu, May 23, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Soccer Ready For Two Weekend Contests Posted: Friday, September 12, 2008 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire soccer team will travel to UW-River Falls to kick off against the Falcons this Saturday and will be back in Eau Claire Sunday to take on Nebraska Wesleyan. Both games begin at 2 p.m. The Blugolds, undefeated so far this season, are coming off an 8-2 home victory over St. Olaf College this Wednesday, advancing the team's overall record to 3-0-1. Saturday's game against the Falcons will be the 23rd meeting between the two squads. The Blugolds lead the overall series 16-5-1. Their last meeting on October 27 last year ended in a 6-0 Eau Claire home victory. The game Sunday against Nebraska Wesleyan will be the first meeting between the two teams all-time. Amy Smith (Sr.-Bloomington, Minn./Thomas Jefferson) has taken the top spot in goals this season for Eau Claire with four. -KS- |
