Sun, May 19, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Soccer Blasts Into Second Home Game Posted: Tuesday, September 9, 2008 EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire soccer team will host its second home game of the season Wednesday at 4 p.m., when St. Olaf College (Minn.) comes to the Bollinger Fields. The Blugolds, ranked 10th in the latest NSCAA Division III Top 25 poll, are coming off a 3-0 shutout of Augsburg College in their first home game this season, securing a 2-0-1 overall record. Wednesday's game against St. Olaf marks the 14th meeting all-time between the two teams. The Blugolds hold an 8-5 series lead over the Oles. Their last meeting a year ago on September 16 resulted in a 2-0 Blugold victory. Both Amy Smith (Sr.-Bloomington, Minn./Thomas Jefferson) and Rachel Nerison (Fr.- Maple Grove, Minn.) lead Eau Claire in goals so far this season with two apiece. - KS - |
