Wed, May 22, 2013 No Event(s) Scheduled For Selected Date Women's Golf In Sixth At Wartburg Invite Posted: Saturday, September 6, 2008 WAVERLY, Iowa - The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team currently sits in sixth place out of 17 teams with 340 strokes after day one of the 2008 Wartburg College Fall Invitational at Centennial Oaks Golf Club. Gustavus Adolphus leads the field with 324 strokes, while Wartburg is two back in second. Illinois Wesleyan is in third with 331. Freshman Emily Swift (Onalaska, Wis.) leads the Blugolds with 81 strokes, five strokes behind today's leader, Laura Heck from St. Thomas. Swift is currently tied for 11th place overall. Katie Maurer (Fr.-Forest Lake, Minn./Convent of the Visitation) is tied for 22nd overall with 84 strokes, while Lea Jondal (Fr.-Somerset, Wis./Cretin-Derham Hall) is tied for 38th with 87. Torie Ives (Jr.-Osseo, Wis./Osseo-Fairchild) is tied for 41st with 88 strokes and Lauren Gault (Fr.-Shorewood, Wis.) has 92, tied for 58th place overall. The Wartburg Invitational wraps up tomorrow at Centennial Oaks Golf Club in Waverly, Iowa. - KM - |
